Journey to Genova

Day -2: And so it starts...
Our journey to genova began in Horw, Lucerne, where the SunCar met up with its three companions the Mia, E-Wolf and C-Zero. After a great breakfast the the convoy left the safety of the hometown and drove into the adventure.

  

The first big stop for recharging the batteries was made in Göschenen, right befor the Gotthard tunnel. There we had chance to enjoy the beautiful surrounding nature and to go for a swim in the refreshing Reuss.

After another charging session in Bellinzona, the team arrived at the days final destination in Mendrisio. Unfortunately we had to leave the Mia behind in Bellinzona due to batterrie balancing problems.

Day -1: Heading south towards the sea

Rise and shine - the drive began at 6 am afther a short nights sleep. The first destination was a camping site next to Milano. Giving the vehicles and drivers a chance to refill the batteries all vehicles made it to the next stop in Tortuna without problems.

In Tortuna we were welcomed by the major and his assistant, who organised the charging. People in Tortuna showed great interest in the WAVE and especially in our SunCar.

As first team we arrived at the Arena del Mare in the old harbor in Genova. After introducing each other to the other teams and the general briefing, we enjoyed a fun dinner. Tired but happy the SunCar Team goes to bed, looking forward to the WAVE 2012!
